Bloody V 3D… 2?!

I’m sure I’m not the only horror fanatic looking forward to the release of MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D next Friday. Just today, my man, Eric, informed us of some early screenings the flick will be having the night before it opens. Well, if you’re like me and can’t get enough of the pick-axe-wielding miner, then you’d best hope that BLOODY V does well in its opening weekend at the box office. “Why?” you may be asking. Because the latest word at the flick’s red carpet premier last night was that the possibility of a sequel would be very likely if enough money is made during the initial three days.

That’s right! Whatever surviving members of the cast remain are all poised for another VALENTINE’s Day! Star Kerr Smith said that director Patrick Lussier already has many ideas on where to go with the sequel. “It’s been discussed, we’re working on that,” Smith said. “The way they leave this movie, anything could happen. I talked to Patrick the other day and he’s got some great ideas.”

Hmm, does that mean Kerr is still kicking at the end? Who knows? I do know that writer Todd Farmer also confirmed that he was discussing some narrative options with Lussier. I wonder if the sequel would take place again on Valentine’s Day, going the route of the HALLOWEEN sequels. I also wonder if it would be in 3D. My guess is yes to both, but I suppose we have to wait and see how well BLOODY V does next weekend. I bet it does fairly well. I hope it hits #1… in my heart!

Hopefully, Ms. King would be back.
