Blumhouse’s Halloween currently casting?

Omega Underground is reporting that the upcoming Blumhouse HALLOWEEN sequel is currently going by the working title NIGHT BLADE and that the film is currently in the process of casting.

The role in question is that of a high school girl named Allyson and the two audition tapes that the site was able to get their hands on (which have since been taken down) feature DAREDEVIL’s Allison Winn and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3‘s Chloe Csengery (see both below).

Now whether or not this role is set to be the lead in the new film isn’t known at this time.

Until we start to hear some news that we can 100% stand by, let’s look back and remember that no matter what’s going on with the McBride & Green HALLOWEEN, the two seem to know how to make it work.

You can read Danny McBride’s comment from early this year below and then make sure to let us know how excited you are for Blumhouse’s HALLOWEEN on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Danny McBride on HALLOWEEN:

Look at where the Halloween franchise has gone. There’s a lot of room for improvement (laughs). David and I are coming from it as, we are horror fans, and we are humongous fans of John Carpenter and of what he did with the original Halloween, so I think from watching this and being disappointed by other versions of this series, I think we’re just trying to strip it down and just take it back to what was so good about the original. It was just very simple and just achieved that level of horror that wasn’t corny and it wasn’t turning Michael Myers into some supernatural being that couldn’t be killed. That stuff to me isn’t scary, I want to be scared by something that I really think could happen. I think it’s much more horrifying to be scared by someone standing in the shadows while you’re taking the trash out as opposed to someone who can’t be killed pursuing you.

HALLOWEEN is directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green and Danny McBride. Blumhouse will be producing and John Carpenter is on board as executive producer.

HALLOWEEN is set to be released October 19th, 2018.
