Blumhouse will play Truth or Dare with Lucy Hale next April

Lucy Hale Pretty Little Liars

Earlier this year, we tracked the progress of a new Blumhouse contribution to the horror genre, director Jeff Wadlow's TRUTH OR DARE. A cast consisting of Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane, Sophia Taylor Ali, Nolan Gerard Funk, Hayden Szeto, and Aurora Perrineau was assembled, and the project went into production. It has since wrapped, and Universal has announced when they will be releasing it into the world.

TRUTH OR DARE has been scheduled for a theatrical release on April 27, 2018.

Written by Wadlow, Chris Roach, Jillian Jacobs, and Michael Reisz, the thriller centers on

a college student in Mexico who is conned into playing a supernatural version of Truth or Dare. The game doesn’t stop and follows her back home.

I'm taking a cautious "wait and see" approach to this one, as the memory of the first OUIJA weighs too heavily on my mind for me to be able to work up too much interest in this concept just yet. With the release just over five months away, it shouldn't be too much longer before we see a trailer and can get an idea of what TRUTH OR DARE is going to be like.
