Bong is King

Remember Charles Band’s horror/comedy EVIL BONG? Well, in case your memory is a little fried from puffin’ the chiba, you can check out Dave’s fun-time review right here. Since the flick is on its way to achieving a cult following, a follow-up is currently in the pipeline!

Everyone hold onto your dime bags because here comes KING BONG! FX artist Jeff Farley of Obscure Artifacts Just spoke to Fango and said that he had recently worked on the follow-up feature, creating the look of the titular bong (right).

“I figured that King Bong had to be a giant Skull Bong, as that really seemed to work in the context of the character,” Farley began. “He has bamboo tubes around a bowl carved into the top of the skull to puff off of. That came from the idea that since Evil Bong had the flexible hookah-type hoses and that this was supposed to be an ancient statue, what else would they use in the jungle?”

Word is that most of the original cast from EVIL BONG (which featured a bunch of half-baked cameos) will be returning for new director, Tom Callaway. Here’s hoping that all the nudity from the first will be back as well! No release date has been set, but we’ll let you know when one arises.

Hopefully EVIL BONG’s Kristyn Green will come back.
