A new British quad-style poster for next Friday’s THE BOX hit online today, and holy hell–I’m sold! While the U.S. posters are OK, none of them have reallly done it for me. But this–THIS here quad poster is da bomb!
Starring Cameron Diaz, James Marsden, and Frank Langella, and from cult director Richard Kelly comes THE BOX, based on the story by Richard Matheson. But what’s it about? Check it: Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child, receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger, delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the cross-hairs of a startling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.
If you haven’t been sold on all the trailers and TV spots, then maybe the quad poster above will have hit it home. Let’s just say, I can’t wait to check this sucker out in theaters, when it’s released nationwide November 6th.
