Brad Pitt and his production shingle Plan B are working with ROBOPOCALYPSE author Daniel H. Wilson on ALPHA, a sci-fi film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Right now it looks like Pitt is only producing, but he could end up starring as well.

Story details aren't forthcoming, but THR says it is known to be a "sci-fi survival story that has shades of Jack London, the author behind such tales as White Fang and The Call of the Wild."

Wilson hatched the idea and will pen the screenplay, while newcomer Anthony Scott Burns will direct. Burns has basically come out of nowhere to snag the job, but he directed a sci-fi short called MANIFOLD that captured the attention of Hollywood a year ago. (You can watch it below.)
