Top-shelf mancandy Bradley Cooper has jilted director McG to engage in another weekend of lascivious behavior.
The perpetually scruffy actor was attached to a goofy-sounding “action romantic comedy” called THIS MEANS WAR, about two competetive best friends who fall in love with the same woman (Reese Witherspoon), and wind up demolishing New York in their escalating battle to win her heart.
But now EW says that he’s departed the Fox project, because of both “scheduling conflicts” and “creative concerns”. (I can believe the second one.)
Of course, the official word is that it clashes with his sequel to THE HANGOVER, and since that movie made $277 million and thrust him onto the A-list (and the A-TEAM), it’s no surprise that’s where his loyalty lies.
Meanwhile, the McG movie remains in flux while a replacement dude is sought. But the project has been in the works since 1998, so no hurry…
