Three, four…better lock your door!

With under 2 months from the release of Platinum Dunes’ retelling of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, and given how uneventful a horror month this March seems to be…you can bet your chapped ass we’re fixing to plug the shite out of all things Fred Krueger between now and April 30th. And to keep the mothaf*ckin’ ball rollin’, we just received a brand new one-sheet for the film!

I gotta say, I quite dig this new look, save for the fact it seems to be pandering to the current 3D craze overtaking Hollywood at the moment. Otherwise, placing the head of a potential female victim plum the crotch of one of the most heinous onscreen pedophiles is pretty fuckin’ solid. Or should I say, ballsy?!?

As I’m sure you know by now, Jackie Earle Haley steps into the inimitable shoes of Mr. Bob Englund…and it’s probably safe to say a lot of the flick’s success hinges on how Haley stacks up with our preconceived notions of what Freddy Krueger is all about. Of course, the same can be said for Samuel Bayer’s direction (a dude mainly known for shooting music videos).

Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Clancy Brown, Connie Britton, Lia D. Mortensen, Charles E. Tiedje, Judith Hoag, Anna Hagopian, Andrew Fiscella, and Patrick Sokley also assume various roles in the film.
