Okay, so we’ve all had ample time to voice our displeasure in the newly announced AMERICAN PSYCHO remake. And by all, I gladly include author of the original novel, Bret Easton Ellis.
You see, once hearing of Lionsgate decision to fashion a low-budget remake of the classic 2000 film, Ellis took to his trusty Twitter account to lend his opinion. As you might imagine, Ellis is none too plussed about the remake, though he is offering his blessing, given one or two provisos. Read it and weep:
“I have warned Lionsgate that I will not approve a new version of ‘American Psycho’ unless it stars SCOTT DISICK or MILES FISHER.”

Once again, that’s Scott Disick (seen right) and Miles Fisher (above right). If you are as unfamiliar with these names as I, perhaps we’ll all think Ellis is pulling Lionsgate’s leg. Turns out Fisher is a Tom Cruise clone, having appeared in FINAL DESTINATION 5 and most recently J. EDGAR. Disick on the other hand is apparently a “reality TV star” whose major claim to “fame” is appearing alongside those vapid Kardashian chicks in two or three of their infinite TV shows. Like I said, Ellis must be joking. At least, we can hope!
Come to think of it, if Lionsgate owns the rights to AMERICAN PSYCHO than there really isn’t much Ellis can do, is there? Perhaps simply sounding the alarm of disapproval will shake the studio up a bit, but I doubt they decide to scrap the project altogether. Nope, my guess someone like Channing Tatum will get the lead role.
What are your thoughts on this matter?

Is Kim’s ass her only redeeming quality?
