Michael Pena The Bringing

Michael Peña stole the show in last year's ANT-MAN, but now the show is coming to him! Peña has just been cast in the Sony horror-thriller THE BRINGING, a film based on the story of Elisa Lam, who was found dead in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil Hotel following bizarre footage of her in an elevator, which subsequently went viral. The story also inspired parts of American Horror Story: Hotel.

THE BRINGING, which is based on the Black List script by Brandon and Phillip Murphy and has most recently been worked on by STARRY EYES' Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer, centers on:

a man (Pena) who is investigating a woman's death set in the notorious and infamous Cecil Hotel.

THE BRINGING will be directed by Jeremy Lovering (Sherlock). Matt Tolmach, Daniela Cristina Cretu, and David Manpearl are producing.
