Brittany’s Across the Hall

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Brittany Murphy, the wide-eyed lass from 8 MILE and SIN CITY (and “King of the Hill” natch), begins shooting the indie thriller ACROSS THE HALL tomorrow, alongside Mike Vogel (CLOVERFIELD) and Danny Pino.

Apparently the flick is about a brutal standoff between a young man (Vogel), his fiancee (Murphy) and his best friend (Pino).

Based on an award-winning short from Alex Merkin, the film will be directed by Merkin from a screenplay by Jesse Mittelstadt and Julien Schwab.

I’ve always been on the fence about Ms. Murphy. She seems like a genuine loon, prone to laughing fits and unintelligible babbling, and yet that same craziness makes her decent looks a bit hotter. She’d be fun where it counts, I guess I’m saying. Just don’t show her an adorable little puppy, you’d never hear the end of it…
