I’ve been checking out reviews for EVIL DEAD, and it seems that this thing might be one of the scariest movies that we’ve seen in awhile. I had a feeling that it was going to be pretty creepy, but I really hope its not just gore for the sake of gore.

Bruce Campbell, director Fede Alvarez, and producer Rob Tapert made an announcement via Facebook that they would be making an appearance in Anaheim at WonderCon this year. Then following the announcement they showed a short trailer with new footage from the film. Again, it’s very short, but if you’re like me then you want more of the film. I know that this new take on the material is going to be far from what we’ve seen with Campbell as Ash. I’m gunna miss him though.

Check out the footage below.

Synopsis: In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

EVIL DEAD, starring Jane Levy and Shiloh Fernandez is set to release on April 13, 2013.
