Bruce Campbell gives new updates on upcoming Evil Dead game!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The EVIL DEAD series has enjoyed great success in all forms of media, from films, to TV shows, to graphic novels, to – yes – even videogames. From the 1984 Commodore 64 game, to the PS1 RESIDENT EVIL-esque EVIL DEAD: HAIL TO THE KING, to the two PS2 hack-and-slash games EVIL DEAD: A FISTFUL OF BOOMSTICK and EVIL DEAD: REGENERATION, they've all had their charms (and a good dose of Bruce Campbell VO), but none were necessarily great games.

Hopefully that might change with the most recently announced game, which Campbell himself gave updates on in an interview with Diabolique Magazine promoting his new book THE COOL SIDE OF MY PILLOW:

I have been looking at and approving a bunch of new stuff. They are full-fledged, full bore into it,” Campbell told interviewer Susan Leighton. “I think they are talking 2021 for an actual release. It’s rolling along, looking great. It got delayed because of the nightmare of video games. Platforms change and evolve. You look at somebody else’s games and go, ‘Shit! We have to change everything now.’ We have to stay current…I [also] have to finish doing the voice work.

Sounds good to me! Hopefully this game will be better than the previous attempts, but even if not, lesser EVIL DEAD is better than nothing!

But what do you guys think? Fans of the EVIL DEAD videogames? If so, what are your favorites? Either way, sound off below!
