Bruce Lee bio trilogy?

JoBloJoBlo

One of pop culture’s coolest and most influential icons will be immortalized in biopic, but unlike DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY, it will come from his home country.

A “historically accurate account” of the inhuman martial artist has been authorized by his surviving brother and sister, who would like to see his story as a series of three films that will portray the “real Bruce Lee” and correct the “many inaccuracies” of the past movies and books about him.

The project(s) will be under the eye of Hong Kong producers Li Chen and Manfred Wong, and while no director or actor to play the Dragon has been named, they apparently plan to start filming in October to make a release of Nov. 27, 2010, the 70th anniversary of Lee’s birth. Lee has been gone 36 years this week.

Bruce Lee is often considered the greatest martial artist in history. He developed a unique fighting style called Jeet Kune Do and counted Steve McQueen, James Coburn and Chuck Norris among his students. Lee starred as Kato in the 1960s “Green Hornet” TV series and moved on to several feature films before his untimely death at age 32. Whoo-PAH!
