Here’s a strange-sounding project that we just received a press release about: THE REVOLUTION OF JENNY SPECK, which evidently is set to star Bruce Willis… or perhaps an imaginary version of the action star. We’re still not sure.
Billed as a psychological thriller, even though it sounds more like a dark comedy/satire, The Revolution of Jenny Speck, revolves around Jenny Speck, a recent hire as the “teen editor” at a women’s magazine. When Jenny discovers that the magazine is part of a global conspiracy of thought control, she joins “Bruce Willis” in his fight against the innocuous, mind-numbing effects of pop culture.
Not sure what to make of that; as his name is in quotes, I have to imagine that this is some sort of fictionalized version of Bruce (perhaps similar to the way Elvis was in TRUE ROMANCE). Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this one turns out. Production commences in the Spring, with newly formed Fog Cutter Films producing.
