It's been announced that Bruce Willis has been chosen to star in Matt Eskandari’s action thriller THE LONG NIGHT. Doug Wolfe is your scribe for this home invasion feature that tells the story of two ruthless criminals who break into a disgraced doctor’s home to be given medical attention after one of them is shot during a robbery gone wrong. Knowing that he lacks the expertise to patch up the injured trespasser, the doctor must protect his family at all costs.

The project hails from Emmett/Furla/ Oasis Films, and impressively enough, will be the 16th collaboration between Willis and producers Randall Emmett and George Furla. Furthermore, THE LONG NIGHT marks the second feature project courtesy of Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Eskandari following the production of TRAUMA CENTER in which Willis also stars. In the aforementioned film which is now in post-production, a former paramedic gets injured after she witnesses a crossfire involving two corrupt cops. After being dispatched to the hospital, the woman must survive the night as the men hunt her down. Luckily, a veteran cop is assigned to protect her, and he becomes her protector as the night grows more dangerous. POLICE ACADEMY alum Steve Guttenberg and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN series actress Nicky Whelan also star.

THE LONG NIGHT is poised to roll cameras in Columbus, Georgia beginning on June 3 with Emmett and Furla producing, with Tim Sullivan, Alex Eckert, and Ted Fox all serving as executive producers.

Next up for Willis is his role as Frank Minna for director/actor Edward Norton's MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN. Set against the backdrop of 1950s New York, crime drama follows Lionel Essrog, a lonely private detective afflicted with Tourette's Syndrome, as he ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend, Frank Minna. In addition to directing and writing the screenplay for the feature, Norton (FIGHT CLUB, DEATH TO SMOOCHY) will also star alongside Willis, Bobby Cannavale (ANT-MAN, PARKER), Leslie Mann (KNOCKED UP, THIS IS 40), Willem Dafoe (AQUAMAN, SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE), and Alec Baldwin (THE DEPARTED, 30 ROCK) for the pic.
