Bubba Ho-Tep, Bruce Campbell Horror Comedy – Best Horror Movie You Never Saw

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

In the latest episode of our Best Horror You Never Saw video series, we take a look at the 2002 horror-comedy Bubba Ho-Tep ( OWN IT HERE / WATCH IT HERE ), directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm), and starring Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead series) and Ossie Davis (Do the Right Thing)!

The film itself is a surprisingly somber and introspective reflection on aging and obsolescence, as well as simultaneously being a hilarious and irreverent horror-comedy about an aging Elvis fighting off a cowboy mummy who eats old people's souls from their assholes! This film really has it all!

Here's the official synopsis:

Elvis Presley and a black "JFK" stay in a nursing home where nothing happens – until a wayward Egyptian mummy comes and sucks out the old people's souls thru their a-holes. The two decide to fight back.

Anyway, this is a great film for those who can vibe off of its very particular wavelength, so we'd love it if you could check out our newest episode to help spread the word! And for more video content, please subscribe to our recently launched YouTube channel JoBlo Horror Videos!
