Bubba’s killer Chili

Oh, I just love horror flicks with a sickly demented, down-home dose of self-aware comedy. I’m talking about the likes of MOTEL HELL and SLITHER. There’s just something tasty about the combo of over-the-top gore and slack-jawed yokels. And speaking of tasty, wait till you check out the latest “down-home hacker” BUBBA’S CHILI PARLOR. If that poster above doesn’t make my fellow genre fans salivate, I don’t know what will. This bastard just looks like fun! See for yourself by taking a glance at its trailer below. For a mere minute-long trailer, it certainly delivers everything you could ask for. Have a helping of the fantastically ridiculous plot:

Bubba runs a respectable chili parlor in rural Texas. Everything is fine until he receives some free government meat. Little does he know this special delivery is tainted with a mutated strain of virulent Mad Cow disease. With infected zombies already on the loose, anyone who tastes his new batch of world famous chili will soon join the army of the undead. Anarchy begins, and the Zombie Lord, a regal, bloody, detached head, begins his reign of terror from the parking lot.

How can you say no? And as an added bonus, writer/director Joey Evans made sure that BUBBA offered a true Grindhouse experience by including fake intermissions and commercials. When can we see it?! Well, as of now, it’ll be playing at the UK Frightfest this August. I haven’t heard anything else regarding a US release, but hopefully that will change soon. The stars of BUBBA are S. Mike Davis, Camille Rocha, Audrey Elizabeth Evans, Ramie Mercado, Bradley Maroney, Adrienne Gibson and Tristan Vaughan.
