Buffy film soon?

Got a salt shaker handy? Good, because you’ll need a grain or more of the stuff when I give you this “news”. (Fridays are damn slow, folks.) Showbizspy.com has an “insider” who is apparently confident a new BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER movie is in the works.

“There is an idea for a script and to pick the story up with Buffy older and maybe even a mother.
Michelle is busy with movie projects at the moment but she is excited about the idea. Buffy still has a huge fan-base so this is a movie that already has an audience.

First of all, what movie projects is Sarah busy with? SOUTHLAND TALES 2? RETURN OF THE RETURN? Last I checked the chick wasn’t up to much. Not trying to be a prick about it, but let’s get real, I’m sure she’d love a damn BUFFY movie at this point. Joss Whedon has his hands full with his new show “Dollhouse” (which is decent, I must say), but for how long? It’s coming to an end soon, and is certainly no sure thing to be picked up for a second season. (Fox keeps cock-teasing this guy.) These two would probably drive a stake through their own mother’s hearts to get a BUFFY flick up and running.

Anyhow, take it how you will. There’s nothing for sure yet, but if you’re a fan of the Scooby gang, then maybe you have some hope to hang on to.

Naturally, they’d have to bring Faith back…
