Any fan of zombie films is a fan of horror legend Ken Foree, as not only was he the pimped out star of George A. Romero’s DAWN OF THE DEAD, but he was also in that other zombie film, Rob Zombie’s THE DEVIL’S REJECTS. For me, anytime I see the guy on the big screen, it brings a smile to my face, because… let’s face it… he’s cool as f*ck, and a legend in his own right.
We got a heads up over the weekend that Foree is set to produce the upcoming horror flick BURNING THE MAN, for SoDak Productions and Transylmania Films. The film is one of two upcoming live-action features that Foree’s production company E & B Holdings are set to collaborate on, with this one being written by Kenny Yakkel (one of the producers of the animated XOMBIE).
While no stars are attached yet (or a director, for that matter), my only hope is that Foree shows up in a cameo somewhere along the line… or hell, have the man be the star of the damn thing- that’d be just fine and dandy with me! The story is under lock and key at this point, so no telling what it’ll be about, but my guess is it’ll likely have nothing to do about a group of stoners smoking joints they lovingly call ‘the man’. Stick around here for more on BURNING THE MAN as we hear it, cause trust me… you’ll be the first to know when we do!
