Our head-honcho and resident lucky bastard The Arrow is in Cannes this week (I’ll reiterate: lucky bastard!), and being there he’s been able to come across some sweet things. No, I don’t mean it that way (although it’s probably true), I mean he’s happened upon some sweet things. One of which is this new promo poster for the horror flick EDEN LAKE – which we last told you about HERE.

Here’s what it’s all about: Nursery teacher Jenny and her boyfriend Steve, escape for a romantic weekend away. Steve, planning to propose, has found an idyllic setting: a remote lake enclosed by woodlands and seemingly deserted. The couple’s peace is then shattered when a gang of obnoxious kids encircles their campsite.

Obviously, it gets a bit more horrific than the synopsis implies. EDEN LAKE was written and directed by James Watkins, writer of the upcoming DESCENT 2. The Weinstein Company snatched up North American rights to the flick – which means we’ll most likely have to wait about a year before they decide what to do with it (that’s just my own speculation though). It does, however, have a release date of OCTOBER 8 set for France.
