ShockTillYoudrop is reporting that John Carpenter’s next film LA GOTHIC is moving forward with casting, with the flick eyeing a March start date. This actually coincides with one of its writers, Sean Keller, telling me yesterday that he was finally able to talk about the project. Awesome stuff!
L.A. GOTHIC concerns a priest trying to save his daughter from supernatural forces in, of course, L.A. Apparently a demon-possessed rock-star is also in the mix. Whatever, I just want Carpenter to return to form. I want him to put MASTERS OF HORROR behind him and revitalize his career, and these screenwriters, Sean Keller and Jim Agnew, might be the ones to assist him. They also wrote Dario Argento’s new flick, GIALLO, so maybe a cool new writing team has been discovered.
A treat is coming for you if that’s the case, because I’ll be interviewing them very soon, about both of their new projects. Stay tuned!
