Carrie star Chloe Grace Moretz to float between life and death in If I Stay

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

The CARRIE of the 21st Century, Chloe Grace Moretz, is about to find herself floating in limbo in an adaptation of the novel IF I STAY, reports Variety. Documentary director R.J. Cutler is in negotiations to direct.

Written by Gayle Forman, here’s the synopsis for the book: In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make.

Aa sequel to the novel came out last year, so this could be a “franchise” of sorts in the making. Summit Entertainment (WARM BODIES) is producing the supernatural drama, but there’s no word on when it’s going into production.
