Things aren’t looking so good for CASE 39, the Christian Alvart directed, Renee Zellweger starring supernatural thriller that’s been sitting around for quite a while… and will have to sit around a while longer. Almost a year from now, to be exact!
Bloody Disgusting is reporting that the film has been pushed back all the way to August 22, 2008. That’s quite a leap from its previous date, February 22 (which itself was a shift from an earlier date). Considering that CASE 39 was in production all the way back in Autumn of ’06, it would appear that Paramount isn’t all that happy with what they’ve got.
The flick stars Zellweger as a social worker who saves an abused girl from her parents, only to discover things are not as they seem (i.e. some ominous shite’s going down). Also starring is Jodelle Ferland (creepy girl from SILENT HILL) and the f*cking awesome Ian McShane.
She looks pretty pissed about the whole thing…
