An early conceptual design of a vamped-out Sheriff Nottingham!
More than a month it’s been since we crunched y’all with some news on John Regan’s SHERWOOD HORROR, a modern day retelling of the Robin Hood mythos with bite. Well, today’s your lucky day, ’cause we’ve just learned of some new names added on both sides of the camera!
Turns out Vincent Guastini and his V.G.P. Effects & Design Studio have jumped on board with the project, bringing his experience on such genre efforts as CHILD’S PLAY 3, THE LANGOLIERS, THINNER, and even last year’s WATCHMEN to the fold. Quite a coup for Regan and Co.!
In addition, we just got wind that added to the cast is Terry Jernigan, a man who’s toiled for a decade in such genre fare as AN ORDINARY KILLER, THE 8TH PLAGUE, as well as the upcoming SCREAM QUEEN CAMPFIRE. Jernigan, who will assume the coveted role of Sheriff Nottingham, is joined by DJ Perry, Taymour Ghazi, and Mike Powers.

An ex-con returns home after a six year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil Sheriff and his horde of blood-sucking minions.
Now why the hell hasn’t blood sucking minions been a film title? Really though!
SHERWOOD HORROR has a tentative 2011 release slot, but when we know for sure, so will you.
