A while back we got wind that author Stephen King was in the process of bringing a musical to the stage (check it HERE). We’re not quite sure where that particular project is, but we do know this: another one of King’s work is making it to the stage…. as in CARRIE: THE MUSICAL!

Playbill just announced the full casting line-up for the musical based on the novel by King about a girl who, upon receiving her first menstrual cycle, also receives some killer telekinetic powers. So who’s gonna be singing on stage about Creepy Carrie and pigs blood?

Molly Ranson as Carrie. Sutton Foster, Marin Mazzie, Jennifer Damiano, “American Idol” finalist Diana DeGarmo, Matt Doyle, John Arthur Greene, Corey Boardman, Lilli Cooper, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Benjamin Eakeley, Emily Ferranti, Kyle Harris, Philip Hoffman, Kaitlin Kiyan, Max Kumangai, Mackenzie Mauzy, Preston Sadleir, Jonathan Schwartz, Bud Weber, and Sasha Weiss! Yeowza!

None of those names mean squat to me since I don’t partake in Broadway musicals, but if they mean something to you… then by all means, let us know how this puppy looks! Then again, with more horror-themed musicals coming to Broadway like this, I might have to go to the show more often…

CARRIE: THE MUSICAL has an OFFICIAL WEBSITE, which you should check out and read all about how they rocked the musical back in 1988 and all the crazy fun they had while doing it (i.e., it sucked pretty hard).
