A kind of a letdown story today from NECA’s MySpace page appeared today with regards to their Cult Classics line, but thankfully nothing bad. Turns out that with all the sweet licenses and whatnot NECA are working with, they’ve had to bump back Cult Classics series 6 to mid/late summer 2007. Thankfully, the new Cult Classics Hall of Fame line, showcasing limited editions of repackaged figures long out of production, is still on track later this fall.
In addition, an ‘action figure first’ was recently completed under the CC banner (though the dudes won’t say what it is), and could be released as a separate ‘Cult Classics Presents’ deal instead of in a series, so obviously it’ll be one to watch out for. As a reminder, NECA also posted their release schedule for the upcoming months, which includes figures from V FOR VENDETTA, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST, RESIDENT EVIL 10TH ANNIVERSARY and more!
