Changeling release

Angelina Jolie CHANGELING Clint Eastwood’s CHANGELING, which premiered at the recent Cannes Film Festival where it flirted briefly with a name change (the film’s French name THE EXCHANGE apparently initially appealed to Eastwood but he ultimately decided against the name change), has finally been given a release date. Universal has decided to release the film in select cities on October 24th with a wide release on October 31st, seemingly setting it up for Oscar contention based on the overall positive reception it received at Cannes (especially Angelina Jolie’s performance). In the film, Jolie stars as a 1920s-era mother who becomes convinced that the kidnapped son who is returned to her isn’t her actual son. John Malkovich and Colm Feore co-star.
