Character posters from Starz’s American Gods

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

We are a little over one month away from the premiere of Starz's AMERICAN GODS TV series. The series, based on the novel by Neil Gaiman, is created by HANNIBAL's Bryan Fuller, and the first season's 8-episode run will begin April 30th!

Today we have a series of badass character posters to share with you guys. Series showrunner, the above-mentioned Bryan Fuller, took to Twitter to release these first looks at, basically, all of the characters we will be seeing in the new series.

Peep all of them below and let us know which one you think is the coolest!

Rundown via press release:

“American Gods” posits a different kind of war brewing—one between Old Gods and New.  The traditional Old Gods, with mythological roots from around the world, fear irrelevance as their believers die off or are seduced by the money, technology, and celebrity offered by the New Gods. Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) is an ex-con who, left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). But in truth, Mr. Wednesday is a powerful old deity, on a cross-country mission to build an army and reclaim his lost glory.

AMERICAN GODS stars Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning (see below), Pablo Schreiber, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, Gillian Anderson, Kristin Chenoweth, Jonathan Tucker, Cloris Leachman, Peter Stormare, and Corbin Bernsen

Bryan Fuller and Michael Green are writing the series as well as acting as showrunners, and David Slade is directing the pilot and additional episodes. Add to that, Neil Gaiman is on as executive producer along with Fuller, Green, Slade, Adam Kane, and we have one hell of a talented line-up behind the scenes.

And remember, AMERICAN GODS premieres Sunday April 30th at 9PM.
