Actress Jessica Chastain (pictured above in CRIMSON PEAK) is currently busy playing the adult Beverly in IT: CHAPTER TWO, which reunites her with MAMA director Andy Muschietti, but by the time she finishes working on that film she might already have another genre project lined up. Chastain and Eddie Redmayne are both in talks to star in the serial killer thriller THE GOOD NURSE.

THE GOOD NURSE has been in development at Darren Aronofsky's company Protozoa Pictures for the last two years, with Danish filmmaker Tobias Lindholm attached to direct. During the development period, Lindholm has directed two episodes of the Netflix series Mindhunter, keeping himself in training to tell a serial killer story.

Scripted by Krysty Wilson-Cairns and based on a book by Charles Graeber, THE GOOD NURSE is about

the serial killer/nurse Charles Cullen.

Redmayne would be playing Cullen, a real world serial killer who murdered somewhere in the wide range of 40 to 400 people. The character Chastain is in talks to play is a nurse who helps track Cullen down.

Bron Studios will be producing THE GOOD NURSE, which will be released by Lionsgate.

I'm of the opinion that "the more genre movies Jessica Chastain makes, the better", so I hope the deal will be closed and we'll be seeing her in THE GOOD NURSE sometime down the line.
