Did some call an electrician? Because I've got some shocking news for you. Eh, first one was better.
Anyway, when it comes to the new solo SPIDER-MAN flick we’ve gotten some pretty good looks at Spidey’s (Tom Holland) new duds, and Vulture’s (Michael Keaton)…flying duds, I wanna say. But there’s one major villain who still remains in the shadows – Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine). If you’ve gone and skipped ahead of me, then you know this is no longer the case

Thanks to an Instagram user covering a special section at this year’s Toy Fair (check out our own coverage on our Twitter page!) we now have a much better look at what the electric villain may look like via some promotional material for the upcoming toy line.

Now, this is for the toy line, but it’s not that different from set photos we’ve seen before. Back in August some set photos were released showing the character in similar garb to what we’re seeing here. In addition, the character is flashing some gauntlet-looking things in the international trailer too. So although there may some exaggerated, toy-exclusive features in the above image, this could be close to a “final form” we’d see in the movie. Maybe Vulture recruits him and gives him a proper suit. Or he find it in a dumpster. Either or.
No matter what, I don’t think Shocker is going to play a huge role in this movie. Seeing from afar the cavalcade of villains Sony bogged their previous films down with probably informed Marvel not to do the same thing, so if Shocker shows up he may just be some sort of goon-for-hire role to Vulture’s main baddie. Still, the character looks badass…shockingly so, I must say. Nope, still terrible.
SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING arrives July 7.
