Check out Halle Berry’s new look as Storm on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past

The latest reveal from Bryan Singer‘s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST tweets is our first look at Halle Berry in costume as Storm. Halle has appeared in every film except for FIRST CLASS and each film featured an altered look for the white haired mutant. My personal favorite is still the original X-MEN in which Halle was smoking hot in that black leather suit. She still looked good in the second and third films, even if her character barely registered as important in the movies. With word that she is expecting a child and can’t do much stunt work for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, I figured they would relegate her character to a mere cameo.

Singer shared this first look at Ororo Munroe from the set of the movie and it just doesn’t even look like they are trying anymore. The long hair is gone and it looks like they just spray-dyed Halle Berry‘s actual hair. The outfit has lost all of the sex appeal, likely due to trying to hide her pregnancy from the cameras. Check it out.

Meh, I am underwhelmed by this shot, but I also wasn’t expecting Storm to even appear in the movie. It will be nice to have the continuity intact with Halle Berry reprising the role, but I would rather focus on the FIRST CLASS characters and how they will be altered by the events in the new movie.

If anything, this bears a topic for discussion for all of you Schmoes: is this new film too Singer-y for your tastes? X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST opens in theaters on July 18, 2014
