Check out Michael Giacchino’s Monster Challenge starring Patton Oswalt

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Most of us know Michael Giacchino as the composer of scores for films such as STAR TREK, JURASSIC WORLD, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES, COCO, and many more, but the talented composer has turned his attentions to writing and directing with MONSTER CHALLENGE, a short-film which stars Patton Oswalt. Giacchino has released the short for our self-isolation viewing pleasure, and you can check it out above!

MONSTER CHALLENGE follows a "hapless Patton Oswalt finds himself catapulted into an outrageous series of challenges in an infectiously silly tribute to the eccentricities of Japanese game shows and monster films." In addition to Oswalt, the short also stars Ben Schwartz, Dermot Mulroney, Amy Brenneman, Benedict Wong, and Tom Everett Scott. Michael Giacchino will be composing the score for several upcoming blockbusters, including Colin Trevorrow's JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINON, which is set for a June 11, 2021 release, and Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN, which will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
