Check out the bizarre opening titles for American Horror Story: Freak Show

JoBloJoBlo

The latest season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW airs one week from tonight and as usual we have an advanced look at the creepy opening titles to the anthology series. As in years past, the titles showcase some avant-garde and bizarre imagery along with a circus-themed variation of the theme song.

There have been a lot of comments on this site about the series having uneven scripting, especially in the latter half of each of the first three seasons, but there is no doubt that the cast tends to be top notch, especially Jessica Lange and new addition Kathy Bates. This being Lange’s last year on the show, I am sure we are in store for something special.

One of the only surviving sideshows in the country struggles to stay in business during the dawning era of television. When police make a terrifying discovery at a local farmhouse, the eccentric purveyor of the freak show (Lange) sees an opportunity that will lead her troupe either to their salvation or ruin.

To go along with the opening credits, we also have the full trailer for the season along with the first look at footage from the show itself. Michael Chiklis, Angela Bassett, Sara Paulson, and Evan Peters all look pretty damn good. I hope this is the best run yet.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW debuts on FX on October 8th.
