For those keeping up-to-date with Agents of SHIELD, Skye was revealed to be Daisy Johnson aka Quake. Her Inhuman powers include the ability to move objects and generate massive amounts of force, so as you would imagine, a costume was in order! Behold the first look, courtesy of LA Times, of Quake's get-up for the newest season of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

Chloe Bennet on her new outfit:

It was really, really fun to put it on. With the inner geek in me, and growing up with six brothers, I was never really interested in being the princess. I was more into being someone who kicked ass and was a superhero. So, that was a dream come true. It was cool to be a part of the process in helping to design the outfit.

Costume designer Ann Foley:

It's about strength. She feels very empowered in it…That's what was important to me, that she felt empowered to me. I wanted to stay true to some of the designs I saw in the comics. In the style lines, I wanted to pay a little bit of a tribute to her tactical ability from last season, but we also incorporated the Quake symbol into her gauntlets and on the back of her suit.

Designing a costume for a superhero is one of the most integral parts of the process, as the suit has to tell you everything you need to know about the character without looking absolutely ridiculous. I'd say most fail on the latter, but designer Ann Foley and her team have done a bang-up job of creating a sleek and simple look for Quake. It may be a touch Black Widow-ish, but I certainly have no qualms with that.

Agents of SHIELD returns to TV screens on September 29th on ABC.
