We've already seen a few clips and trailers for Star Wars: Rebels, and last night Disney released the first seven minutes of their upcoming series. This extended preview gives us the best look yet at the Disney XD show, and as a few people have pointed out, it kind of looks and feels a bit like Disney's Aladdin. The preview also introduces us to a few of the main characters, including con artist and thief Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray) and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s renegade Jedi Kanan Jarrus.

An animated series set between the events from STAR WARS: EPISODE III – REVENGE OF THE SITH and EPISODE IV – A NEW HOPE should be awesome (and the main villain looks badass), but so far I've been mostly underwhelmed with what's been released for Star Wars: Rebels. However, it might take a few episodes for the series to find its grove, so I'm still going to give it a chance. Are you going to check out Star Wars: Rebels this fall?

Star Wars: Rebels will premiere as a one-hour special on the Disney Channel in October 2014.
