I don't know about you guys and gals, but I have absolutely zero interest in hiking and/or camping out in the deep, dark woods. Nope. Not for me. Seen too many horror movies, thank you very much.
But as much as I dislike hiking, camping, and even my backyard, I love a good "other people go hiking/camping and get slaughtered" flick as much as the next guy. Bring them on, I say.
With that in mind, today we'd like to share the poster and trailer for director Sam Patton's upcoming survival horror film DESOLATION. The film will be hitting us this December via IFC Midnight.

DESOLATION synopsis:
After the death of her husband, Abby (Jaimi Page), her son, Sam (Toby Nichols) and best friend, Jen (Alyshia Ochse), venture into the forests of upstate NY on a camping trip, only to find themselves in danger from a mysterious hiker (Claude Duhamel) with malicious intentions. As the trio attempts to navigate the vast wilderness in search of safety, they find themselves the hunted prey in a deranged killer’s terrifying game and the only way to survive is to kill – or be killed.
DESOLATION is directed by Sam Patton and stars Jaimi Page, Toby Nichols, and Claude Duhamel.
The film hits select theaters, VOD, and digital platforms December 15th.
