Since the animation world isn’t all Pixar and SHREK, here’s a little something on two smaller animated films trying to grab a small slice of that extremely lucrative animation pie. The first, SPACE CHIMPS, follows the titular chimps, voiced, among others, by Patrick Warburton and Andy Samberg, as they’re blasted off into space because humans weren’t available or something. Click on the chimps below to check out the official site, complete with trailer and other goodies. The chimps make one giant leap for simiankind on July 18th.
The second, PLANET 51, with a voice cast including Dwayne Johnson, Jessica Biel, Justin Long and Seann William Scott, centers on a group of aliens terrified of a human invasion whose worst nightmare comes true when an astronaut lands on their planet. Click on those cuddly aliens to get a Spanish narrated behind the scenes look at the flick courtesy of 3D animation blog “Market Saw”. The invasion begins July 24th of next year.
