Chris Hemsworth gets his own Ghostbusters suit in this on-set picture

There's no denying that the latest National Lampoon's VACATION was a disappointment to most folks, but for those of you have seen the movie, or even the red-band trailer, you have to give it up to Chris Hemsworth for delivering some laughs. The man plays a perfect Thor and isn't afraid to poke fun at himself. This is probably no more evidenced than by the first on-set picture of Hemsworth's "receptionist character" in Paul Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS.

I'm actually digging the style of the tech we've seen thus far for GHOSTBUSTERS and that continues in this picture with the decked-out bike. The glasses are also a great touch! Now that we have word that Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd will be making brief appearances in the film, one wonders if Ernie Hudson will be next to sign up. Either way, I'm fascinated to see how Paul Feig pulls this off. The bulk of fans are none too pleased, but Feig has a habit of delivering solid comedies that generate some box-office revenue, and that's WITHOUT a license to draw attention to it. I mean, it's not like this flick is a prequel trilogy trying to tell us all how the characters came to be…

GHOSTBUSTERS will hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
