Back in November Eric dropped the news that the Christian Slater-starring sci-fi horror pic STRANDED had been picked up by Image Entertainment and today we have a look at the trailer and new poster art for the thriller.
STRANDED is directed by Roger Christian who most of us remember as the cat who helmed the deplorable BATTLEFIELD EARTH, but we’ll try to not hold that against him too much. This new flick stars Slater, Brendan Fehr, Amy Matysio and Michael Therriault and the plot synopsis is as follows:
Gerard (Christian Slater) leads three other astronauts on a mission when a meteor suddenly collides with their space station, putting the lives of the entire crew in danger. Those on board quickly learn that spores from the meteorite can replicate cell structure, reproduce, and mutate. Ava, the only female astronaut becomes infected, showing signs of pregnancy at a rapid rate. Within 36 hours she gives birth to a creature that mutates into the life form of another crew member.

Ok, I gotta be honest. It doesn’t look like anything we haven’t seen done a thousand times before (and often much better) but I’m a fan of Christian Slater so I’ll give it a chance.
No news on a release date yet but we’ll update ya when we hear it!
