It's been quite some time since I'd heard any manner of news regarding the six-time Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Christina Aguilera, though it appears today that this trend is about to change. This morning, it's been confirmed that Aguilera, along with Theo James, Rashida Jones, Miranda Otto, Ewan McGregor and Lea Seydoux will join the cast of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance ZOE. Additionally, Matthew Gray Gubler is set to join the project in a supporting role.
ZOE is being presented as a futuristic love story produced by Scott Free's Kevin Ealsh and Michael Pruss, Doremus and Robert George. According to IM GLobal, ZOE follows the story of two colleagues (played by McGregor and Seydoux) at a revolutionary research lab who design technology to improve and perfect romantic relationships. As their work progresses, their discoveries become more profound than they could ever have imagined. Principal photography for the project starts on location in Montreal on May 8. Prolific independent entertainment studio IM Global is financing the film alongside China’s HLCG Entertainment.
