Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing! Horror of Dracula, The Mummy – Deadly Duo

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Our video series Deadly Duos has reached its finale, and in this latest episode we're taking a look at the collaborations of two of the horror genre's legendary icons, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Lee and Cushing are both credited on a couple dozen of the same movies, but their most famous collaborations came when Cushing played Van Helsing to Lee's Dracula. To hear all about the work they did together, check out the video embedded above.

Lee may be best known to cinema fans these days for his appearances in the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars franchises. Cushing has also played a role in the Star Wars franchise – but unfortunately, Star Wars isn't among the films Lee and Cushing both worked on at the same time.

Deadly Duos is Arrow in the Head's series

dedicated to featuring the iconic pairings of filmmakers who have worked together multiple times in horror films. Actors and directors, producers and composers, no matter the role or the era, every episode is a journey through the most beloved and classic (as well as obscure and forgotten) pairings that have made for the most memorable films in horror history.
