Cillian Murphy joins returning stars in A Quiet Place 2

Cillian Murphy Peaky Blinders

It has (shockingly) been almost twenty years since Cillian Murphy made his way through the apocalyptic scenario presented in 28 DAYS LATER, and now he's planning to dive into another apocalypse, as he is in negotiations to join the cast of the sequel to the 2018 horror hit A QUIET PLACE.

A QUIET PLACE stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe will be returning for the sequel, which the first film's director John Krasinski is writing and will be directing. The returning stars play a

family fighting to survive a world crawling with noise-targeting creatures.

Murphy's character is said to be

a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit.

Produced by Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Michael Bay, A QUIET PLACE 2 is expected to start filming in the summer and is heading toward a May 15, 2020 release.

I really enjoyed A QUIET PLACE, so I look forward to finding out what sort of story Krasinski has crafted for the follow-up.
