A week from today Michael Lander’s identity crisis thriller PEACOCK makes its way to DVD, and as a way to spark some interest in this mofo, a new featurette of star Cillian Murphy talking about the challenges of going drag have just been made available. After-all, nothing sells like cross-dressing Irish actors!
Also starring Ellen Page, Susan Sarandon (below), Josh Lucas, Bill Pullman and Keith Carradine – PEACOCK is a suspense thriller about a man named John (Murphy) who lives a reclusive life that gets broken open when a train caboose destroys his house’s fence, opening his life up to the world. Neighbors learn a lot more about John including his other personality Emma whom they believe to be his wife. This makes him the focus and spotlight of the community, eventually shattering the delicate balance of his sanity.
There’s really no telling just how bad or good this movie is gonna end up being. I maintain that with that cast intact, it cannot be utterly unwatchable. However, judging by the rather uninspired footage we’ve seen coupled with the fact the movie is being released directly to DVD…it’s safe to say white flags are definitely at full-mast. It’ll be interesting to see which way this sucka goes!
