Cinemacon: Spy interviews with Paul Feig, Rose Byrne, Jude Law, & 50 Cent

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

While at Cinemacon last week, I had the chance to sit down with some of the stars and director of the upcoming comedy SPY, which stars Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Jude Law, and Jason Statham. We sat down with Byrne and Law to talk about what it’s like working with McCarthy, Jude’s “American” James Bond role, Byrne’s outrageous hair, and how they feel about the comedy genre. Both were super cool and even took a minute to pose with the JoBlo bobblehead!

I then sat down with director Paul Feig and 50 Cent, a duo I never would’ve imagined interviewing like…ever. Feig talked about how SPY isn’t a spoof or parody, whether or not McCarthy is his DiCaprio, details on Statham’s hilarious turn in the film, while 50 Cent talked about his role and whether or not he’s ever had the kind of interaction in real life that he does with an adoring fan in the film.

SPY opens on June 5th, 2015.
