Just the other day Eric somehow fought away the tears the Jets loss was sure to bring (poor guy) and informed us all that Louis Leterrier’s CLASH OF THE TITANS would be coming at us in 3-D and that the film was actually being pushed back a week. A lot of new developments on this film just a couple months before release huh? How about we start talking a CLASH OF THE TITANS trilogy then?!

That’s exactly what’s going on over at MTV in an interview they scored with Leterrier. In the interview Leterrier talks about the possibility of a franchise and hints at a trilogy. Here’s a bit of what the director had to say:

“We’ve talked about it loosely. Any movie of this size, [the studio wants] to know you won’t hit a wall after your first movie. So they’re like, ‘If we green light your movie and give you the money, what’s the idea for the sequel?’ And you just give them some ideas. You draw an arc for your character. I’m not saying I know what exactly will happen to Perseus in the next two movies, but I know the direction and it’s pretty exciting.”

Leterrier also talks about the endless possbilities with Greek mythology and a hint at what we could be seeing in the potential sequels… Head right over HERE to check it out.

CLASH OF THE TITANS hits theaters on April 2nd in 3-D and sports a very impressive cast including Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Izabella Miko, Gemma Arterton (below), Nicholas Hoult, Alexa Davalos and Danny Huston. What says you guys? You down for a CLASH OF THE TITANS trilogy or do you think just the one will be enough? Hit us with your opinions below!
