Are Clint Eastwood and Matt Damon on their way to becoming the next Scorsese/Leo or Fincher/Pitt duo?
Okay, that may be premature, but they’ll be dancing partners again on a new supernatural thriller called HEREAFTER, which is only described as “in the vein of THE SIXTH SENSE”.
Damon just recently worked with the legendary actor and famously efficient filmmaker on INVICTUS, about the life of Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) after the fall of apartheid in South Africa. The movie is due before the end of the year, undoubtedly to maximize award potential.
The HEREAFTER script came from writer Peter Morgan (THE QUEEN, FROST/NIXON) and the project slid from Dreamworks to Clint’s Malpaso home at WB, although Spielberg remains as an exec producer.
