Clint visits de France

JoBloJoBlo

Legendary actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood is still cranking them out as he nears 80 friggin’ years of age, and is back behind the camera shooting his INVICTUS star Matt Damon on a new supernatural thriller called HEREAFTER.

Now there’s a lady in the mix: Belgian actress Cecile de France, perhaps best known as the pixie-haired star of Alex Aja’s HIGH TENSION (HAUTE TENSION), has also joined the project from writer Peter Morgan (THE QUEEN, FROST/NIXON) and exec producer Steven Spielberg.

The movie is described as “in the vein of THE SIXTH SENSE”, and is apparently about “three people who are touched by death in different ways” (which means a third star hasn’t been announced yet, although the movie is currently filming). Cecile will play a French journalist dealing with a near-death experience.

De France hasn’t been seen too much outside of French films — her Hollywood profile apparently didn’t get a boost from playing the female lead in Jackie Chan’s AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS.
