DESIERTO, the upcoming thriller from Jonás Cuarón, might not be explicitly a horror film, but it certainly is earning its primo October slot. A harrowing story about violence at the Mexican-U.S. border, this new clip shows exactly how brutal things can get. As Jeffrey Dean Morgan's rifle-toting baddie knocks off immigrants one by one from above, they quickly realize there's nowhere to hide in the desert… The perfect nerve-shredding movie for this political climate, DESIERTO is gearing up to be a nightmare of epic proportions. Check out the clip below!

Here's the synopsis:

What begins as a hopeful journey to seek a better life becomes a harrowing and primal fight for survival when a deranged, rifle-toting vigilante chases a group of unarmed men and women through the treacherous U.S.-Mexican border. In the harsh, unforgiving desert terrain, the odds are stacked firmly against them as they continuously discover there's nowhere to hide from the unrelenting, merciless killer.
