Clooney’s Lost girl

JoBloJoBlo

The new leading lady for MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS is probably the lowest-profile member of the production. You gotta give credit to George Clooney — the guy knows how to assemble a cast.

Rebecca Mader, perhaps best known for being a somewhat irritating addition to the cast of TV’s “LOST” last season, has joined the Clooney-topped satire. Besides his chiseled chin, the project already features Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Bridges and “Hey, it’s that guy” actor Stephen Lang (TOMBSTONE, BAND OF THE HAND).

The movie is based on Jon Ronson’s book about the US military’s secret soldiers trained to (supposedly) walk through walls, become invisible, read minds and kill telepathically. The adaptation is set in Iraq and centers on a reporter (McGregor) who inadvertently finds a big story in a former psychic soldier (Clooney) reactivated after 9/11.

GOATS (title change still expected) is directed by Clooney’s producing partner Grant Heslov, who you almost certainly know better as Faisil from TRUE LIES.
